Featuring almost 50 shows with over 150 performers in 27 packed venues across the city, the 2013 Belfast Comedy Festival 'Belly Laughs' (which took place from 25th September to 6th October) was an uproarious success. The acts ranged from stars like Stewart Lee, Ruby Wax, Adam Hills, Phill Jupitus and Ardal O'Hanlon through well established acts like Abandoman, Jake O'Kane and Paul Currie to the brightest of upcoming comic talent.
It wasn’t just about stand-up, though – the festival featured a diverse range of events including comedy bus tours, musical cabaret, sketch shows, improv, cartooning, comedy poetry, music hall seminars, storytelling, comedy writing workshops, kids events, silent comedy films – something for absolutely everyone who likes a laugh.
We’re already planning more belly laughs for 2014, with the festival planned for 25 September – 5 October 2014. Click the link below to sign up for our newsletter and we’ll keep you bang up to date with advance announcements – and plenty of other info on local comedy!
